Be Honest. Write down what you would TIP!

Alright, to all you restaurant eaters out there, I want you to comment and tell me what you would tip if you would go out to eat and spend $25, $50, and $100... Please let me know. Give me some feed back. I am getting sick and tired of people coming out to eat and tipping 10-15% remember we do not get paychecks! We only get tips. IF the service sucks, I understand, but be honest and let me know what you would leave for the waitress if u were to go out and spend $25, $50 and $100.

  1. I always tip 20% unless it's carryout or self seating... if you're someone I'm friends with I usually start with $10.00 (especailly when it comes to drinking tabs)

  2. if service was excellent (which means that drinks are refilled before I run out, food & drinks arrive in a timely manner, food is cooked properly and order is correct, server has a pleasant and friendly attitude), I tip 20%, sometimes more if they're REALLY awesome. $25 check = $5 tip, $50 check = $10 tip, $100 check = $20 tip.

  3. It really depends on how much money I have when I go out; and what the total cost ends up being. I have gone out before and spent $22 on dinner and left $13 for tip; but I've also spent $25 and left like $5-$7 tip :( Is that bad?

  6. I always give 20% even id the service isn't that great- don't get me wrong I will come out and tell them why they sucked though lol. If they have good service I normally add a little more. I was a server for to long & know that everyone has their off days, your good tip could be enough to turn their day around =)

  7. I start off at 25%...if they suck the minimum they get is 15% and a chat w/ their manager, but if they rock it out its usually 30-40%...the worst is when the kitchen screws up the order and the mgr comps the ticket and ppl tip on the adjusted bill..I NEVER do that..I tip off of what it would have been...and if the server was awesome I will tip them atleast what I would have paid for the food so they usually end up with a pretty decent tip :o) People who have worked as servers always hook it up :o)
